Graduation here I come!...?

So it's official.  This week I applied to graduate at the end of the semester.  Technically I don't really graduate until after I pass my student teaching but considering we're not sure if we'll be back here for the Spring or somewhere else doing Michael's internship I thought it would be safer to just get it done now.  It feels a little strange but I know it will feel stranger coming back for Mike's last few semesters after I'm done.  It feels great though to know I'll have a degree and be certified to teach three subjects and administer assessments for nonnative English speakers (a growing field by the way, my professor mentions almost every day how lucky we are because we're practically guaranteed a job teaching ESL...he almost sounds jealous).

Our apartment is really feeling like a home now.  We've got pictures on the wall and everything.  The original plan was to keep it all as simple as possible seeing as how we're moving in December anyway but my feminine urges took over and I'm quite proud of our living room.  It's been fun and adventurous figuring out really inexpensive ways to decorate an apartment and DI (Deseret Industries) and I have become good  friends.  I'll be sure to post some pictures when I have the chance.

Michael's dad, Mike, came by and visited us this week.  It still cracks me up to see how much alike they are.  It was fun to have the old man around (Michael's words).  We got to show off our apartment and our new car (oh by the way we got a new car-2005 Hyundai Sonata-and Mike's Ford Explorer is for sale if anyone's interested), go out to eat, and share stories.  Boy do those Emett's have some crazy stories!  It was fun to hear about his childhood and see them both laugh so hard.  Which leads me to the discussion of the week.  What is your most memorable family memory? (we welcome sentimental and humorous stories:)
